YMCA Camp Ockanickon is transformed daily into an outdoor classroom where students are provided with the opportunity to learn about themselves, others, and the environment.  Camp staff and teachers work together to create a schedule tailored to meet each school’s unique goals.  Our environmental education, team building, and traditional camp activities are all based on an experiential approach to learning.

Check out a complete list of the activities we offer.

We aim to provide a positive environment that fosters peer relationships, environmental awareness, leadership, and problem solving skills, communication, and independence.  Your students will share a recreational and educational experience that they will be talking about all year!

Please contact our Group Services Director for more information or dates that you are interested in.

“..(Camp) provides plenty of opportunities for hands-on learning experiences (different from what they experience in a classroom setting) that reinforce what’s being learned in the classroom in a fun and memorable way. In fact, when done successfully, these partnerships can become the highlight of the year – something incoming classes hear about and look forward to.”
–Dr. Susan Langlois (Camp Business Magazine)

QUOTES from our Participants:

"As a teacher, I have been fortunate enough to have accompanied many groups to Camp. I have always been most impressed with the organization, enthusiasm and caring. Your staff this year has been just as wonderful. Your staff always tries to make the day the best ever for the children. Thank you for everything”

“The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Learning about the Pinelands and having the children work together to solve problems or situations was great. They really can take "life skills" that they learned and use them in the future. The mattresses were softer than I expected.”

“The professionalism of the YMCA staff and their ability to accommodate the needs of our students. The varied activities - they challenged the students.”
